Exciting News!
Our hospitality division, Hamo Hospitality, has officially opened its third venue in Geelong, Woolstore Restaurant & Bar. Nestled in Newtown’s river-end at our Woolstores precinct, this venue offers spacious dining with the energy of a late-night cocktail lounge. Spanning two floors, Woolstore accommodates up to 150 guests, offering an elevated experience in a stylish and vibrant setting.

At the helm of Woolstore’s kitchen is award-winning Chef Eli Grubb. Grubb was crowned Regional Chef of the Year at the 2024 Golden Plate Awards. Showcasing modern Australian cuisine, the menu highlights the finest local Geelong ingredients through small plates and shareable meals. Anchored by the unique feature of a parrilla grill, Woolstore delivers modern flavours while embracing versatility, catering to all styles of dining.

Woolstore is a striking new addition to the vibrant Rutland St precinct, seamlessly blending industrial elegance with modern design. Designed by local firm Hamilton Clark, the venue showcases expert craftsmanship with a fit-out completed by our team, bespoke joinery by Pavilion Joinery, and lush greenery by Hamilton Green. Spanning two levels, Woolstore features soaring 7-meter-high industrial glass windows by Versatile Windows & Door and Harris Steel Fabrication, softened by sheer curtains from Geelong Roller Blinds, creating a dramatic yet inviting ambiance. The upstairs mezzanine, complete with a cocktail bar, lounge seating, and original tallowwood flooring preserved from the site’s wool-storing history, pays homage to its century-old origins. Even the lanolin markings from its past remain intact, adding a touch of authentic charm.

Looking ahead!
With 1915 Restaurant & Bar, Paddock Bakery, and now Woolstore Restaurant & Bar already in our portfolio, Hamo Hospitality is excited to announce four new venues currently in development, set to open later this year in Geelong CBD, Newtown, North Geelong and Bendigo. Each venue offers a unique vibe, and we’re confident they will be fantastic additions to Geelong’s ever-evolving hospitality scene.
At Hamo Hospitality, our spaces are designed to foster connection and bring people together for great times and elevated experiences.
